Flash on the Beach 08

July 14, 2008

I’m very happy to speak at Flash on the Beach 08 in Brighton.

My session titled The best way to predict the future is to invent it will take place on Monday 29th September at 10:15.

This session will focus on the techniques, workflow and planning necessary to overcome the creative and technical challenges when creating interactive experiences in Papervision3D.

I will present our latest project, a truly innovative research and development programme, giving an inside view of the entire creation process, from concept and planning, to development and art production.

FOTB07 was an outstanding event, with inspirational presentations, great partying and a fantastic atmosphere, and John Davey has been working hard on making this year’s even better.

Hope to see you there.

MadinSpain’08

July 14, 2008

I’m seriously excited about speaking at MadinSpain in Madrid, on September 12th and 13th.

It will be very special to speak in my home town, and also to do it in Spanish. My idea is to present a selection of all the material I’ve presented during the last year, plus some new exciting work never show before.

Design collective Domestika have done an excellent job putting together a very interesting conference with top Spanish and international speakers, coupled with an exhibition from great designers and a panel discussion.

Check out their new site by group94 where alongside the conference info, you can play a 2D/3D version of Asteroids and even register your hi-score to win prizes.

FITC Amsterdam 2008

January 19, 2008

I’m looking forward to participate in FITC Amsterdam 2008 where I’ll be taking part in two events, one technical, one creative.

On Sunday 24th February, the Papervision3D workshop will reunite the PV3D team (minus Andy) for the first time. We’ll cover nearly everything, and my part will focus on 3D application design, performance optimization and 3D usability.

On my conference session, Interactive Experiences with Papervision3D, I will review in detail our latest commercial projects, including Bravia. Be prepared for pleasant and new surprises.

I’m afraid the workshop is already sold out, but if you happen to be in Amsterdam 25th and 26th February, don’t miss the conference, as it certainly looks like they’ve put together a whole lot of cool shit.

See you there!

Next Generation Websites with Papervision3D

November 1, 2007

I’m very excited to be presenting at Flash on the Beach next Tuesday, November 6th at 13.30.

My session called Next Generation Websites with Papervision3D, focuses on the practical applications of 3D in the Web, with many real-world examples from my personal and commercial work.

It will also be great to spend some time with the Papervision3D community. Hope to see you there.

Adobe MAX Barcelona

October 9, 2007

I’m looking forward to present at Adobe MAX Europe in Barcelona.

My session, Take the Web to the Next Dimension, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th at 10:45.

As the name implies, I will cover different perspectives of the design and development of 3D websites.

Many examples from my personal and commercial work will be reviewed and explained, including Sony BRAVIA for the first time.

If you can make it, please come and say hello.
